Post Plaster Advice
Now that you have your newly plastered walls...
its time to take the next step once the plaster is fully dry, usually around five days. Its best to leave a little longer if you'r unsure. But before you go ahead and paint we recommend you mist coat the walls. This is typically done with two coats of a mix of roughly 50% water to 50% paint then your usual painting method once dry. This prevents the final coats of paint from being dried out too fast due to the high suction of the dry fresh plaster and over time leaving the probability of flaking patches. Not what you want when spending the time and effort of plastering your home.
Another option is to go for a ready to use "bare plaster paint" that is much easier to apply with a little less mess and gives great results....
